• Man charged in Eden Prairie Scheels thefts - Eden Prairie Local News (eplocalnews.org) — A Minneapolis man accused of repeatedly stealing high-end multitools from the Eden Prairie Scheels is now headed to court in Minnetonka. His first appearance is set for Dec. 17 at the Hennepin County Ridgedale courthouse, after police say license-plate readers and store surveillance tied him to three incidents totaling about $824 in losses.
   

• Breakdown Tip-Off Classic set Edina Saturday canceled due to safety concerns (fox9.com) — A recent fight in the stands at Hopkins High School’s Lindbergh Center in Minnetonka is one of the safety incidents prompting Edina schools to cancel this weekend’s major Breakdown Tip-Off Classic basketball tournament. Officials say they can’t guarantee safety for the 36-team event at Edina Community Center, citing similar disruptions at other recent high school games.
