Urban Wildland Half-Marathon Kicks Off Saturday

What do to in Richfield this weekend, Aug. 3-4.

The start of school may be only a few short weeks away, but this weekend is jam-packed with activities for Richfield residents.

1) The Urban Wildland Half-Marathon and 5K

The race, which starts at Veteran's Memorial Park, takes runners all over eastern Richfield, including a swing through Woodlake Nature Center. Want to dodge the race, or cheer on runners? Check out the course map. The main race, a half-marathon, begins at 7 a.m., while the 5K begins at 7:15 a.m. Roads will be re-opened to traffic after around three and a half hours, once the bulk of runners have passed by. Results will be posted on the race website.
