'Reprehensible': MN DNR Investigates Employee Post On Trump Shooting
The state agency is investigating an employee's social media post related to the assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump.

ST. PAUL, MN — The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources is investigating an employee's social media post related to the assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump.
The agency said the post was "reprehensible and inconsistent with the views and values of the Minnesota DNR."
Officials said they could not share specifics due to state law. However, ABC 6 reported that the employee posted to Facebook: "Too bad they weren’t a better shot."

"Violence or the threat of violence has absolutely no place in American politics," the DNR said Wednesday.
"The recent assassination attempt on former President Trump was a heinous act with tragic consequences. The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources vehemently rejects the use of violence, or the insinuation of violence, in any form."

The DNR promised to thoroughly examine the matter and take all appropriate steps in alignment with state law and policy.
Saturday's shooting at a Trump rally in Butler, Pennsylvania marked the first time since the attempt on Ronald Reagan's life in 1981 that a former or current president was shot.
