9 Cars Pileup In West Metro Amid Icy, Rainy Rushour

ST. LOUIS PARK, MN — Icy roads were a possible contributing factor to a nine-car pile-up that happened Monday morning on Highway 100 ramp to eastbound Interstate 394. Authorities responded and shut down the ramp before 6 a.m.
FOX 9 reporter Bill Keller shared a video from the scene of the crash on Twitter.
Expect slow going on roads and highways during rush hour. The metro is experiencing a downpour of freezing rain, which will create slick spots for cars and pedestrians.

"The precipitation will change over to all rain around and after sunrise," the National Weather Service said.
"Allow extra travel time this morning as icy spots may be encountered with no advance notice."
