Cooler Weather Moves In Before Weekend Warm-Up Across Twin Cities
Temperatures will dip near freezing Thursday morning before several sunny, seasonable days return.
MINNEAPOLIS, MN — Cooler air has settled into Minnesota this week, with temperatures dipping near freezing before a stretch of sunny, calmer weather arrives to close out the week.
The National Weather Service said skies will clear across the Twin Cities on Wednesday afternoon as northwest winds continue around 15 mph, with gusts up to 25 mph. Highs will reach about 49 degrees.
Overnight temperatures are expected to fall into the low to mid-30s, marking one of the coldest nights so far this fall. Thursday will be sunny with a high near 51 and light northwest winds.

Clear skies and cool nights will continue through Friday, followed by a gradual warm-up heading into the weekend. Highs will climb into the upper 50s on Friday and reach the low 60s by Saturday.
A chance of rain returns late Sunday into Monday, according to the latest forecast.

The National Weather Service described the upcoming pattern as "tranquil," with near-normal temperatures and plenty of sunshine through the weekend.
