So far, two Fourth of July firework shows in the Twin Cities metro area have been canceled due to this summer's historic flooding.

SHAKOPEE, MN — At least two Fourth of July firework shows in the Twin Cities metro area have been canceled due to this summer's historic flooding.

The Valleyfair Fourth of July fireworks show after the Minnesota River flooded onto the amusement park's parking lot.

Valleyfair said it will reschedule the fireworks. The amusement park will remain up on July 4 and will continue offering free off-site parking and shuttle bus service until the flood waters recede.

Meanwhile, due to flooding in Lowell Park from the St. Croix r, Stillwater will postpone its Fourth of July fireworks and festivities.

"Downtown Stillwater is still open for business and the city will communicate a new date for fireworks and associated events when that is available," city officials said on Facebook.

Firework shows in Roseville, Woodbury, Eagan, Richfield, Lake Minnetonka and Minneapolis are still scheduled to happen, as of Friday.

Flooding continues to impact the state. At least 17 liquid manure storage pits have overflowed onto 15 cattle feedlots due to this season's historic flooding, the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency told Patch.

And a house on the edge of the Blue Earth River near the Rapidan Dam fell into the water Tuesday night.
