Plants from the collections of Master Gardeners, and their favorite veggies, herbs, annuals, perennials, and pollinator-friendly plants!

The Plant Sale of the Master Gardeners in Washington County will be Sunday, May 21 from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. This is an outstanding opportunity to buy perennial and annual flowers, vegetables, herbs, and pollinator friendly plants at amazing prices. Plants for shade and sun, old and new garden favorites, and unique plants from the Master Gardeners’ own collections will be available.
Featured at the sale will be the MN WINNERS. These vegetables and flowers have been tested in University of Minnesota Extension Trial Gardens and in the gardens of Master Gardeners. They have been found to be the “best of the best” new plant introductions for Minnesota gardens.
The Master Gardener Diagnostic Experts will be on hand during the sale to answer questions concerning insects or disease that gardeners may be experiencing. Gardeners are encouraged to bring samples or photos of plants or insects of concern.

Extensive selections of Pollinator-friendly plants will also be available at the Sale. Master Gardeners who specialize in Pollinator Gardens will be on-hand to help with selections and provide advice on garden plans and information about the various pollinator species.
The Sale will be at the Washington County Fairgrounds, 12300 North 40th Street, Stillwater, MN. The Master Gardeners in Washington County are affiliated with the University of Minnesota Extension. The Plant Sale is the most important fund-raiser for the Master Gardeners in Washington County, who receive no county funding. The volunteer Master Gardeners provide education tables at various Community Farmers Markets and education events, assist elder communities and youth to plan, plant, and nurture community food gardens, and provide education programs on a wide variety of garden topics including landscape design, native plants, pollinators, composting, home vegetable and fruit production, and lawn and landscape pest control.
