Town Traditions: Stillwater's Lumberjack Days

A favorite, long-standing tradition for Stillwater residents is the Lumberjack Days festival.

STILLWATER, MN — It may be hard to believe, but summer is just around the corner. And summer in the Twin Cities means outdoor community festivals.

A favorite, long-standing tradition for Stillwater residents is the Lumberjack Days festival. The annual event along the shores of the St. Croix River has been going on since 1934.

Lumberjack Days was canceled in 2020 and 2021, due to the COVID-19 pandemic and related state restrictions around large gatherings.
