Winter Storm Watch Issued For Stillwater: Here's What To Expect

STILLWATER, MN — The city of Stillwater and the rest of Washington County will be under a winter storm watch starting Thursday. Between 5 to 11 inches of snow could fall in Stillwater, according to the latest forecast from the National Weather Service.

"Travel could be very difficult. Patchy blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility," the NWS said.

"The hazardous conditions could impact the Thursday evening and Friday morning commutes."

Wednesday: A slight chance of drizzle and snow between 1pm and 2pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 37. Southeast wind 10 to 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Wednesday Night: A chance of drizzle and snow between 7pm and midnight, then a chance of snow after midnight. Cloudy, with a low around 29. East southeast wind 10 to 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%.

Thursday: Snow likely, mainly after 1pm. Cloudy, with a high near 33. Breezy, with an east wind 15 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New snow accumulation of less than one inch possible.

Thursday Night: Snow. Patchy blowing snow between 10pm and 11pm. Low around 26. East wind around 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New snow accumulation of 3 to 5 inches possible.
