2 Killed After Woman, 95, Drove Wrong Way In Cottage Grove: Patrol

COTTAGE GROVE, MN — Two people were killed after a 95-year-old woman drove the wrong way on U.S. Highway 61 in Cottage Grove on Sunday morning, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

Just before 8:15 a.m., Julia Ann Bilds was driving a 2010 Ford Fusion southbound in the northbound lanes near Jamaica Avenue when it collided head-on with an 2018 Audi Q5.

Bilds, who was the only woman in her vehicle, died at the scene.

Four people were in the Audi, including Tanya Ann Mott, who also died in the crash.

The Audi's driver and second passenger suffered non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to Regions Hospital.
