Though sparklers are legal in Minnesota, city officials reminded residents they cannot be used in city parks during the celebration.

City officials are encouraging residents to ride their bikes or walk to the event due to limited parking and closures around M Health Fairview Sports Center. The intersection of Bailey Road and Pioneer Drive is due to be closed during the event, and drivers should be prepared for congestion and “long wait times” while leaving the area, officials said.
