‘Thriving With Your Teen! (or Preteen)’ Parent Education Class

“Thriving With Your Teen! (or Preteen),” a one-session parent education class for parents and caregivers of preteens and teens is offered in four areas of Washington County in October, November and December.

“Thriving With Your Teen” will help parents or caregivers learn about how to make the most of their relationship and find common ground with their pre-teen and teenager. Participants learn about recent research that can provide useful insight about teen development and effective parenting tips. Participants may enjoy enthusiastic discussions with others and receive support about raising teens and preteens.

Parents and caregivers are encouraged to attend. Attendees don’t have to be a parent of teens to benefit from this training. Parent educators also welcome. The sessions are offered through Community Education at the following dates and locations:

• South Washington County: 6:30-8:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 8, Cottage Grove Middle School, class #PE1081. The cost is $5, bring a friend for free. Register at www.cecool.com or call 651-458-6607.
