WAA, Woodbury Football Teaming Up for Blood Drive

We're excited to announce that WAA Football and Woodbury High School Football are co-sponsoring an American Red Cross Blood Drive on Saturday, Oct. 27, from 10:00 am to 3:00 at Woodbury High School.

As part of our commitment to fostering community service, both programs wanted to partner together in helping our community.

A unit of blood is needed about very 2 seconds, which totals 44,000 units needed in the United States every day.  1 pint of blood can save up to 3 lives!  Click here to read a short article about Joseph, a young child who needed this precious gift.  Blood recipients could easily be any of our children, teammates, family members, or friends. We believe raising the awareness of donating blood is an important community service lesson for our players.

We are asking for your help in making this blood drive a success. Please ask family and friends to consider pre-registering for this event. It is very simple to pre-register. All you need to do is click here, or go online at redcross.org and enter sponsor code 0173548 to begin the registration process or you could call 1-800 RED CROSS and provide the sponsor code 0173548.
