WOODBURY, MN — Ten years after graduating from Woodbury High School as a basketball star, “Bachelorette” Michelle Young returned to the scene of her teenage sporting triumphs for a one-on-one date on the hit reality TV show.

Tuesday’s episode saw Young take fellow Minnesotan Joe Coleman — who’s known as “Minnesota Joe” to Bachelor Nation — to Woodbury High School after a date at Target Field.

Young showed Coleman her old locker, her basketball awards and her yearbook before challenging him to a game of 1-on-1 in the gym where she once dominated.

Young earned a place on the Star Tribune's all-metro first team for basketball in 2011 during her senior year at Woodbury High School and went on to play Division I basketball at Bradley University. Coleman was also a basketball star during his high school years and was named 2011 Minnesota Mr. Basketball, the Star Tribune reported.

“I feel like Joe would have been my crush in high school because he played basketball, has a good head on his shoulders and he’s good-looking,” Young said. “Mr. Basketball, Miss Basketball. I mean, it goes together.”

Young tweeted a photo Tuesday with the Woodbury Royals girls basketball team, who watched the episode with the star of the show.

Young and Coleman also visited Betty Danger’s in Minneapolis.

A group date at the U.S. Bank Stadium saw some of the men compete for Young’s attention and affection by donning Viking garb, eating delicacies like fermented herring and “Vikings' head hash,” and arm wrestling.
