Back to School: McDonald's Giving Away Free Backpacks Saturday in Woodbury
"Backpack Saturday" will provide vouchers for free backpacks to the first 100 kids in grades K-8 who show up at McDonald's on Saturday, Aug. 3.

The Weir Drive McDonald's in Woodbury will be giving free backpacks away to the first 100 school-aged kids (accompanied by a parent) on Saturday, Aug. 3.
The promotion, Backpack Saturday, starts at 8 a.m.

McDonald’s and its restaurant owner/operators in the Twin Cities Co-Op are helping families get ready for school by giving away a total of 20,000 backpacks at nearly 200 participating restaurants in Minnesota and western Wisconsin.
The first 100 school-age children (K-8) will receive a voucher to redeem for a free backpack. No purchase is required.

The free offer is only good while supplies last. When the restaurants run out of backpacks (each will have approximately 100), children in line will be given a coupon, redeemable at a later date, for a free McDonald’s meal.
