Classes Canceled Wednesday At Park High School Due To Power Outage
"Our school and the surrounding neighborhood do not have power this morning," Park High officials said Wednesday as they canceled classes.

COTTAGE GROVE, MN — Officials in the South Washington County Schools system called off classes Wednesday at Park High School after a power outage in Cottage Grove.
“Our school and the surrounding neighborhood do not have power this morning,” officials said around 8:20 a.m. Wednesday in a message on the school’s website and social media pages. “Therefore we must cancel school today for Park High School.”
Officials said students should check online for assignments Wednesday, while staff members will work from home.

The outage started around 3:15 a.m. Wednesday, and about 190 customers in Cottage Grove were still without power at 9:30 a.m., according to Xcel Energy.

More than 100 customers near Fleming Field Airport in South St. Paul were also without power, as of 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, according to the company’s outage map.
