Comcast Investment Fund To Award Grants To BIPOC Business Owners

Comcast shared that it will award 100 grants of $10,000 to small businesses owned by people of color in the Twin Cities.

WASHINGTON COUNTY, MN — Comcast announced Thursday that 100 small businesses owned by people of color in the Twin Cities will be awarded a $10,000 grant through the Comcast RISE Investment Fund.

Businesses in Anoka, Carver, Dakota, Hennepin, Ramsey, Scott, and Washington Counties are eligible to apply, Comcast said.

In addition to the grants, Comcast will provide technology and marketing resources to eligible businesses, the company said.

The window to apply for a grant is Oct. 1-14 and businesses can apply for a grant and/or the technology and marketing resources, the company said. Winners will be notified in November, according to Comcast.

The Investment Fund is an extension of Comcast RISE-an initiative that begun in 2020 to support small businesses owned by people of color, the company said.
