Cub Opens Wine & Spirits Store In Woodbury

The new store is set to host daily drawings, tastings and events throughout October and is offering free delivery until Oct. 30.

WOODBURY, MN — Alcohol aficionados in Woodbury have a new place to check out after Cub opened a new Wine & Spirits shop across the parking lot from its grocery store in the Tamarack Village shopping center.

Cub celebrated the grand opening of its new store last week at 8452 Tamarack Village, the site of former Pier 1 Imports.

The 8,000-square-foot Woodbury store is the brand’s 11th Wine & Spirits location. It features a sip bar, a build-your-own six-pack beer wall and 40 doors of chilled products, according to a news release. The store will be open from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Saturday and from 11 a.m. 6 p.m. on Sundays.

“Woodbury Wine & Spirits will be the destination for customers looking for an everyday wine, beer or cocktail for pairing, but also if they are looking to discover a special treasure-hunt item," Cub Wine & Spirits Vice President Bridget Birkeland said in the release. “Our well-trained staff is looking forward to helping customers create the ultimate experience.”

Based in Stillwater, Cub operates 80 grocery stores in Minnesota and Illinois. It also has dozens of stores selling wine, spirits and liquor.
