For the third consecutive year, the East Ridge High School varsity cheer team went to nationals.

Out of 51 teams, the local contingent took seventh place at the February event in Orlando, Fla. The junior varsity team took ninth out of 20 teams.

Coverage will air from 12:30-1:30 p.m. Saturday, March 30, on ESPN2, according to a release from District 833.
