EMSO presents Heart Strings: Reflections of Love & Music
Woodbury-based East Metro Symphony Orchestra (EMSO) will present Heart Strings: Reflections of Love and Music on October 15

East Metro Symphony Orchestra (EMSO) is pleased to present the first concert of the 2023-2024 concert season. Heart Strings: Reflections of Love and Music will be held Sunday, October 15, 2023 at 3:00 p.m. at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, 2499 Helen Street North, North St. Paul, MN. Admission to this concert is free. Donations in support of the orchestra’s work in the community are always appreciated.
This fall concert touches on themes of love, especially the love of music and storytelling through music. The performance will feature Mendelssohn’s Symphony No. 3, also known as the Scottish Symphony, which took over 10 years to write. The orchestra will also perform Wagner’s Act I Overture from Die Meistersingers, an opera about the struggle between the forces of tradition and changes in music; selections from Copland’s cowboy ballet Rodeo; and Mozart’s romantic opera Abduction from the Seraglio Overture.
Heart Strings: Reflections of Love and Music is the first concert in EMSO’s 2023-2024 concert season. EMSO presents four concerts each season. For more concert and season information, visit EMSO’s website at www.emsorch.org.
