WOODBURY, MN β€” With summer now officially underway, Woodbury officials are reminding residents to conserve water by following the city’s year-round daytime irrigation ban and odd-even watering schedule.

Homes and businesses with even-numbered addresses should water their lawns on even-numbered dates, with odd-numbered homes and businesses allowed to water on odd dates.

Residents who water their lawns on the wrong day or at the wrong time could face fines. A first offense prompts a fine of $50, which doubles with each subsequent violation, according to the city's ordinances.

The city's lawn-watering policies also cover private wells, though many sports fields, golf courses, nurseries and other agricultural businesses are exempt, officials said.
