Man Arrested After Bank Robbery In Cottage Grove: Police
An armed robbery was reported around 3:10 p.m. Tuesday at a Wells Fargo bank in the 8000 block of East Point Douglas Road, police said.
COTTAGE GROVE, MN — A Cottage Grove man was arrested and booked into Washington County Jail on Tuesday after he was linked to an armed robbery at a bank in the city, police said.
The Cottage Grove Police Department said it was called around 3:10 p.m. Tuesday to a Wells Fargo location on East Point Douglas Road after a man robbed the bank and fled with cash.
Officers searched the area for about 20 minutes before finding a man who matched the suspect’s description in the 9400 block of Jeffery Avenue, the department said.

The man, a 43-year-old from Cottage Grove, was arrested and taken to Washington County Jail after being treated for minor injuries by paramedics, police said in a Facebook post.
The Cottage Grove Police Department did not name the man in its post Tuesday night, as charges were still pending against him.

He could face charges of second-degree aggravated battery, fleeing police and obstructing a legal process, according to Washington County Jail records.
