Man Stabbed At Woodbury Lake, Assailant Still At Large

WOODBURY, MN — Police are investigating after a man was stabbed in a Woodbury park. The assailant is still at large.

On Feb. 1 at about 3:30 p.m., the Woodbury Police Department was called to the south side of Markgrafs Lake for "an assault involving a knife that occurred."

At the scene, police found a man who had been attacked, but could not provide details on an assailant. He was transported to Regions Hospital.

At the scene, police checked the area for evidence, including checking for any home surveillance cameras in the area. However, "as of the morning of Feb. 2, the victim still has not been able to provide any information regarding an assailant," Woodbury police said.

Woodbury detectives are interested in any information or observations by people who were in the area of Markgrafs Lake between 2:30 and 3:30 p.m.

"We are aware there was a person walking a dog, perhaps a golden retriever, that saw the victim after the incident, and we would be interested in speaking with her," police said.

"With so many unknowns in this case, we ask that residents remain vigilant, aware of their surroundings and report any suspicious activity to police."
