MN Bill Provides Tax Break For Woodbury's Central Park Project
Woodbury's Central Park renovation project is estimated to cost around $37 million. A bill would give the city a tax break on supplies.

ST. PAUL, MN — A bill introduced Tuesday in the Minnesota House would exempt the sales tax for materials and supplies purchased for Woodbury's Central Park renovation project.
House File 1623 was authored by Woodbury area Reps. Ethan Cha and Rep. Amanda Hemmingsen-Jaeger. Under the legislation, the sales tax is paid at the time of purchase but the city can apply for a refund.
After more than 20 years of use, the Woodbury City Council voted to renovate the popular recreation center that houses a playground, library, and more.
