Weekend I-494 Closure In Woodbury Postponed: MnDOT

WOODBURY, MN — The Minnesota Department of Transportation on Tuesday called off its plans to close a portion of I-494 in Woodbury this weekend for repair work.

Nightly lane closures were due to start Wednesday, but transportation officials have postponed the maintenance project until next year due to weather forecasts, according to an update from the department.

Southbound I-494 was due to be reduced to two lanes from Wednesday into Thursday between Tamarack and Lake roads. The same portion of the interstate was set to go down to one lane Thursday into Friday before being closed to traffic on Friday night.
