Road Work To Close Part Of I-494 In Woodbury This Weekend: MnDOT

The Minnesota Department of Transportation is also planning nightly lane closures this week.

WOODBURY, MN — Minnesota transportation officials are set to close a portion of I-494 in Woodbury this weekend so crews can make pavement repairs. Nightly lane closures are scheduled to start Wednesday.

Northbound I-494 will be reduced to two lanes from 8 p.m. Wednesday to 6 a.m. Thursday between Lake Road and Tamarack Road, the Minnesota Department of Transportation said in a news release.

That section of the interstate will be reduced to one lane from 8 p.m. Thursday to 6 a.m. Friday and then closed entirely to northbound traffic starting at 10 p.m. Friday.

Drivers will be directed to follow a detour using northbound Highway 61 and eastbound I- 94, the release states.
