South St. Paul Motorcyclist Ejected, Killed Going 107 MPH: Patrol

The motorcyclist was fleeing a trooper when he crashed, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

BROOKLYN CENTER, MN — A 31-year-old South St. Paul motorcyclist died after fleeing a trooper and then crashing, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

Just after 6 p.m. on Sunday, a trooper clocked Caylin Alan James Svendahl riding 107 miles per hour on a Harley Davidson, according to authorities.

Svendahl failed to stop for the trooper's emergency lights and sirens, according to investigators.

Svendahl then tried to enter eastbound Interstate 694 from northbound Interstate 94 "at a high rate of speed," authorities said.

The Harley Davidson crossed traffic and was struck by an eastbound Mazda CX5, according to investigators, and Svendah was ejected. He was declared dead at the scene.

The driver of the Mazda suffered a non-life threatening injury.
