Toddler Killed After School Bus Hits Pickup: Ramsey Co. Sheriff
The crash killed a 23-month-old girl and injured four others Monday morning, according to authorities.

ARDEN HILLS, MN — A 23-month-old toddler was killed and four others were injured after a school bus crashed into a pickup on Monday in Arden Hills, according to investigators.
The bus was empty except for the driver, authorities said.
At about 8:30 a.m., deputes from the Ramsey County Sheriff's Office responded to the intersection of Highway 10 and Highway 96. At the scene, deputies say they found a school bus that had crashed into the passenger side of a pickup.

Four people were found inside the truck, including a 23-month-old girl who was not breathing, a 15-year-old boy with serious injuries on his legs, and their mother and father.
The deputies performed CPR on the girl until Allina medics transported her to Regions Hospital, where she died.

The teen was also taken to Regions and is being treated for serious but non-life threatening injuries. The mother and father were not physically injured, authorities said.
The driver of the school bus was also taken to the hospital.
According to investigators, the bus was headed east on Highway 96 when the pickup, which was going west, pulled out at the intersection to head south on Highway 10.
There were no signs of impairment, according to the sheriff's office. The Minnesota State Patrol is currently reconstructing the crash.
