Tono Serving Up Pizza, Cheesesteaks At New Woodbury Location

WOODBURY, MN — Woodbury is home to the newest Tono Pizzeria + Cheesesteaks, the local brand's fourth restaurant in the Twin Cities metro.

The restaurant, owned by Antonio “Tono” Gambino and Shaz Khan, is serving up its signature wood-fired pizzas and Philadelphia-style sandwiches, as well as salads, sides and dessert pizzas.

Tono's dishes are made from “award-winning recipes that have been handed down for generations, the restaurant's website says.

Tono offers a “cozy, family-friendly atmosphere” and “follows a simple credo passed on from our Papa Andrea ‘to give people flavors they want paired with an experience they won’t forget,” according to its website and social media pages.

Tono’s Woodbury location opened last month at 437 Commerce Dr., Suite 100, where Viet Cajun & Noodles once operated.

“Thank you so much to our kind neighbors for the warm welcome, and outpouring of support, with the grand opening of our fourth outpost!” Tono’s Facebook page posted Feb. 26. “We feel extremely blessed to be supported & surrounded by this amazing community.”

Tono Pizzeria + Cheesesteaks has been rapidly expanding throughout the Twin Cities metro and also has locations in St. Paul, Maplewood and Coon Rapids.
