Volunteer Meeting for Woodbury Days

Want to volunteer at Woodbury Days?

An informational open house is scheduled for 7-8 p.m. Wednesday, April 17, at Woodbury Estates Assisted Living, 2825 Woodlane Drive, near Woodbury High School.

The Woodbury Days Council—the nonprofit all-volunteer organization that plans Woodbury Days—is looking for “energetic, community-minded people,” to help plan this year’s event, according to a release.

This year’s festival is set for Aug. 23-25.

“Whether you are a business owner in the community or a resident your expertise and enthusiasm is what we need,” reads part of the release.

There are different levels of commitment available: working one shift at the event, helping periodically during the year as needed or being on the council and planning year-round.

Applications are now being accepted for businesses that want to get involved in Woodbury Days. There are opportunities for booths, to march in the parade or participate in the Button of Savings program.
