Woodbury-Area Private Schools Among Largest In Twin Cities: Report

Three schools in the Woodbury area were included in the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal's list of the area's largest private schools.

WOODBURY, MN — The Woodbury area is home to one of the largest private schools in the Twin Cities region, according to a recently published report by the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal.

Hill-Murray School, a Catholic school in Maplewood, was ranked as the fourth-largest private school in the metro during the 2021-22 school year, with 950 students enrolled in grades 6-12, according to the report, which cited questionnaires and statistics from the Minnesota Department of Education.

New Life Academy was the 12th-largest private school in the Twin Cities, with 750 students in pre-K through 12th grade, while St. Ambrose of Woodbury Catholic School was ranked as the 20th-largest private school in the metro, with 610 students in grades K-8, the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal reported.

The Blake School in Hopkins was the largest private school in the region during the 2021-22 school year, with 1,366 students, the report shows.
