Woodbury Man Ejected In Deadly Single-Car Crash

It is not yet known if alcohol was a factor in the crash, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

RED WING, MN — A 54-year-old man from Woodbury died after he was ejected in a single-car crash in Red Wing over the weekend.

On Sunday, just before 11:30 p.m., Kenneth Walton Fritze was driving a Subaru Forester south on Highway 63 across the lift bridge.

The Subaru then hit a roadside barrier, and Fritze was ejected, according to Minnesota State Patrol. He was not wearing a seat belt in the crash, authorities said.

Redwing police, the Goodhue County Sheriff's Office, and Redwing fire responded to the crash.

Fritze was declared dead at the scene.
