Woodbury Student Wins US Figure Skating Award
The awards are given to graduating high school seniors who excelled on the ice and in the classroom.
WOODBURY, MN — A Woodbury senior was recently recognized by the U.S. Figure Skating organization for her commitment to “athletic and academic excellence,” according to the South Washington County Schools system.
East Ridge High School senior Brianna Parker, a double gold medalist, received a 2022 Graduating Senior Gold Level Award from U.S. Figure Skating, the district said.

The awards have four levels, given out based on students’ level of achievement in figure skating competitions throughout their high school careers.
The U.S. Figure Skating organization relaunched its Graduating Seniors program in 2011 to recognize the achievements of students who “have made the commitment to continue their training in figure skating while pursuing their academic studies.”
