The overpass was damaged two months ago when it was struck by a tractor-trailer, causing a four-foot-wide hole in the side of a box girder. After the contract is awarded and approved, the repairs are expected to commence after Jul. 4 and be completed by Jul. 31. (WDAM 7)
  2. Several Pine Belt organizations in Mississippi, including Hattiesburg, Laurel, and Sumrall, have been honored with awards by the Mississippi Main Street Association. These organizations were recognized for their achievements in areas such as arts, revitalization, and marketing.
