Chief Sherrocko Stewart says the bargain purchase, secured from the Jackson Municipal Airport Authority, should improve response times and safety for both firefighters and residents across the city.

Formed at First Baptist Church in Hattiesburg, the 50-plus member group performs monthly at assisted living and senior communities and will welcome new singers when rehearsals resume in January.
