Meet the stars of 'Napoleon Dynamite' after movie screening (wapt.com) — Hattiesburg movie fans can see “Napoleon Dynamite” on March 14 at the Hattiesburg Saenger Theater and then join a live Q&A with stars Jon Heder, Jon Gries, and Efren Ramirez. Limited meet-and-greet tickets and regular tickets are available now through Ticketmaster.

Hattiesburg earns 7th consecutive perfect score on state drinking water inspection (wdam.com) — Hattiesburg’s drinking water system just earned a perfect 100 out of 100 on Mississippi’s new, more detailed state inspection, marking the city’s seventh straight top rating. City leaders say the score reflects years of daily maintenance and infrastructure upgrades, and they’re pledging to keep investing so residents can trust what comes out of their taps.
   

3. Southern Miss announces Fall 2025 Graduates (starherald.net) — USM has just awarded degrees to about 1,300 students during its Fall 2025 commencement ceremonies on the Hattiesburg campus, including at least one graduate from the local area. The university highlights its strong research profile, wide range of programs, and commitment to preparing students for in-demand careers that matter across Hattiesburg and the Gulf Coast.
   

4. Blake Anderson announced as Golden Eagles' new football head coach (kait8.com) — Hattiesburg football fans just got a new era at USM, with longtime coach Blake Anderson officially promoted from interim to head coach of the Golden Eagles. The athletics department highlights his decade of head coaching success, including multiple conference titles and nine bowl trips, and notes his previous stint on the Southern Miss staff and role in this year’s six-game turnaround.
