Meridian Community College: Pitchin' In For The Pups: MCCers Donate To Dog Food Drive

Forty students from Meridian Community College Practical Nursing, Medical Laboratory Technology, and Radiologic Technology programs reached out to help canines in need.

The students donated some 759 pounds of dog food to the East Mississippi Animal Rescue dog food drive, said Debra Herring, coordinator and instructor for the Radiologic Technology Program.
MCC alumna Christina Mumme, a former Radiologic Technology Program student, sponsored the drive. For many years, Mumme has provided a $100 cash prize for students who donate dog food to EMAR. For every 10 pounds donated, the studentβs name is included in a drawing for a cash award.
