• New Grant from Patterson Family Foundation to Benefit Small Food and Farm Businesses in Kansas, Missouri (carthagenewsonline.com) — Bolivar-area farmers and food entrepreneurs could soon tap into new business training, coaching, and grant opportunities thanks to a $2.15 million Patterson Family Foundation award to New Growth, which has an office in Bolivar. Over the next two years, the funding will support a farm business counselor, partner organizations, and expansion grants to help small farms and food businesses across western Missouri and Kansas reach local and regional markets.
