FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

The City of Springfield has issued an addendum to its solicitation for contractor bids for the Jefferson Avenue Footbridge rehabilitation project, extending the deadline for proposal submissions through 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 26, 2021.

The addendum issues minor modifications to the original bid providing clarification on a few items and allowing more time for interested contracting companies to submit qualified bids.

“So far in the solicitation, we have received a lot of questions and apparent interest in the project,” explains Project Manager Nicholas Edelman. “More time has been a request that has come up on several occasions. Delaying the bid opening for another week will help ensure we receive as many qualified bids as possible, but it will not push us back on our timeline to award the project and move forward with construction.”

Bid Documents, plans and addendums can be obtained at Springfield Blue Print at (219 E. Pershing) or  online at www.spfdblue.com. For further bidding information, contact project manager Nicholas Edelman at 417-864-1932.
