Springfield Mayor Ken McClure congratulates The Discovery Center of Springfield for being awarded the inaugural STOP Award from the Center for Education Reform and Forbes. The award includes a $1 million prize aimed at transforming education. 

“We are very proud that The Discovery Center was honored for providing the best educational COVID response and that our citizens, in particular, our first responders’ children, were well taken care of as a result of the Center’s innovative efforts,” McClure said. “We look forward to the expansions that Executive Director Rob Blevins and his team will be able to make, thanks for the prize money.”
