ST. LOUIS, MO β Interstate 64 eastbound will be closed this weekend, starting at 8 p.m. Friday, as the Poplar Street Bridge shuts down for repairs, the Missouri Department of Transportation said this week. The highway will be closed between Jefferson Avenue and Illinois Route 3. Detours will be marked and drivers should use Interstate 70 or 255/270 as an alternate route.
Using rideshare, carpooling or taking the Metro will also help alleviate traffic congestion, officials said.
