Missouri researchers use GPS to find out (kcur.org) — Researchers at the St. Louis Zoo’s Institute for Conservation Medicine have been tracking Forest Park raccoons with GPS collars, revealing that most avoid crossing busy roads and even use I-64 drainage culverts to reach Dogtown dumpsters. Their Forest Park Living Lab project highlights how wildlife adapts to city life and invites St. Louisans to connect more deeply with the park’s urban ecosystem.
   

2. Suspects Face Multiple Charges in St. Clair County Train Robbery (riverbender.com) — A MetroLink rider was robbed and assaulted on an eastbound train near Memorial Hospital station in St. Clair County, with suspects from St. Louis quickly arrested thanks to real-time camera monitoring.
