  1. Billings Clinic's Psychiatry Residency Program has achieved independent accreditation, allowing the hospital to manage the program on its own. With the capacity to train up to 12 students per year, the program is the first of its kind in Montana and aims to address the growing need for psychiatrists in the state. The accreditation comes as part of a long-term solution to address workforce shortages and increase physician retention in the state. (Subscription: Billings Gazette)
  2. A construction project near Shiloh Road and Avenue C in Billings collapsed, fortunately without causing any injuries. Witnesses reported that workers had safely evacuated before the incident occurred. The building, measuring approximately 9,000 square feet, suffered significant damage. City building inspectors are investigating the cause, with initial theories suggesting inadequate bracing of the trusses as a possible reason. The timeline for reconstruction and the cost of the damage remains unknown at this time. (Q2 News)
  3. Billings Public Library is introducing the new Billings Story Trail, a unique outdoor reading experience for the community. The trail features laminated pages of a featured book displayed along the path, allowing families to read and enjoy nature simultaneously. This collaborative project aims to bring literacy closer to residents and create opportunities for shared reading experiences outside the library. (Q2 News)
