  1. National experts will be making their way to Billings later this month to conduct a Community Assessment for the potential development of a Family Justice Center. A community public forum will be held for the public to attend and will be hosted by the Family Justice Center Alliance as well as city officials and law enforcement to learn more about these centers and speak with representatives. This forum will be held on Jun. 27 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on N. Broadway. (KULR-TV)
  2. The Billings Royals' completed the Saturday sweep of the Helena Senators a couple of days ago thanks to a walk-off double by Jaiden Turner. The Senators had a chance to retake the lead and walk it off at the top of the seventh inning but thanks to some tough fielding by the Royals they were able to walk away with the win. With this loss, the Senators dropped to 24-9 and 6-5 in conference play, while the Royals moved to 5-4 in conference play and picked up their 17 wins of the season. (406mtsports.com)
  3. Marcia Lynn Jefferson, a 33-year-old Billings woman with a history of drunk driving offenses, is facing vehicular homicide charges after a high-speed, alcohol-fueled crash in December resulted in the death of her passenger, Glen Seth Myers. Evidence revealed that Jefferson's blood alcohol content (BAC) was more than twice the legal limit, and her vehicle was moving at 85 mph moments before it veered off the highway, struck multiple objects, and overturned. In light of Jefferson's previous violations, including driving without a license and driving while her privileges were revoked, her bond has been set at $100,000, with a potential prison sentence of up to 30 years and a fine of up to $50,000 if convicted. Buzz has undergone a few cosmetic changes over the years. Still, the impact and energy he brings to the campus deserves recognition, as the campus experience wouldn't be the same without him.
