Omaha's Open Door Mission serves 900 meals during Christmas banquets (wowt.com) — Open Door Mission in Omaha served about 900 Christmas Eve and Christmas Day meals this year, roughly 20% more than usual, to neighbors needing food and fellowship. Volunteers and families described the bustling banquets as a joyful way to give back and remind guests they’re not forgotten during the holidays.
   

2. Chef serves Omaha's Stephen Center for 14 years; cooks special meal for Christmas (wowt.com) — At Omaha’s Stephen Center, longtime chef Robert Wilson turned Christmas into a restaurant-quality celebration with prime rib for more than 300 people, thanks to private donors. A recovering addict himself, he’s spent 14 years cooking there and helping others in recovery, with his kitchen serving nearly 250,000 hot meals in the community this year.
   

3. One arrested after pursuit with stolen U-Haul (newschannelnebraska.com) — A stolen U-Haul pursuit ended late Thursday morning in Omaha when a Nebraska State Patrol trooper collided with the fleeing truck near 35th and Mason Streets and arrested the driver. Authorities say the chase began in Papillion, lasted about 20 minutes, and fortunately caused no injuries. A 38-year-old Omaha man faces multiple charges and is being held in Sarpy County Jail.
   

4.
