Inspired by his grandmother’s breast cancer battle and his mom’s own donation, he hopes his gesture encourages other Omaha residents to find their own ways to help others.

Douglas, Sarpy County authorities arrest two after pursuit, crash (wowt.com) — Law enforcement in Omaha arrested two men Saturday night after a reported intoxicated driver in a stolen car fled deputies, nearly hit another vehicle, and then crashed near Harrison Street. Douglas and Sarpy County deputies worked together to apprehend the driver and passengers, leading to multiple charges that local residents may see reflected in upcoming court records.

Grandmother warns about space heater dangers 3 years after 7-year-old dies in South Omaha house fire (3newsnow.com) — A South Omaha grandmother is revisiting the 2022 house fire that killed her 7-year-old granddaughter to warn neighbors about the dangers of space heaters this winter. She and Omaha fire officials urge residents to keep heaters three feet from anything flammable, plug them directly into walls, and check smoke detectors so other families don’t face a similar tragedy.

Ajay White earns shutout as Luke McNamara, Mason West score in Force win (inforum.com) — A USHL matchup in Omaha saw the hometown Lancers shut out 2–0 by the Fargo Force, despite 23 saves from goalie Devin Shakar. Luke McNamara and Mason West scored in the second period to secure Fargo’s win. Omaha fans now look ahead as Fargo prepares to host Lincoln midweek.
