AmeriCorps To Be Honored On National Service Recognition Day
An event at Red Rock Elementary will celebrate Las Vegas' AmeriCorps members.
LAS VEGAS, NV - Las Vegas' AmeriCorps members will honored for their service on April 3 during National Service Recognition Day in an event at Red Rock Elementary School.
Nevada has 327 AmeriCorps members. In Las Vegas, those members serve 575 students at nine different ReInvent Schools Las Vegas (RSLV) locations.
The Tuesday, April 3 at Red Rock Elementary will include the painting of a large map of the United States. Mayor Carolyn Goodman will be in attendance and speak at the event. Red Rock Elementary is located at 408 Upland Blvd.
