4. Police: Motorcyclist dies in south Las Vegas crash with U-Haul (fox5vegas.com) — A 65-year-old motorcyclist was killed Monday afternoon after colliding with a U-Haul truck at South Las Vegas Boulevard and Blue Diamond Road, according to Las Vegas police. Investigators say the rider struck the truck’s left side, fell underneath, and died at the scene, marking the 157th traffic fatality this year in Metro’s jurisdiction as the collision unit continues its investigation.
   

5. UNLV Rebels feel holiday spirit at opening postseason practice for upcoming bowl game (ktnv.com) — UNLV’s 10-3 Rebels are gearing up in Las Vegas for a home-state appearance in the Scooter’s Coffee Frisco Bowl against Ohio University, with practices already taking on a holiday vibe. Players and coaches say they’re focused on closing the season with a win, especially for local linebacker Marsel McDuffie, who’ll play his final college game in front of dozens of hometown supporters.
