Gary Dexter Park Reopens Saturday Afternoon
A grand reopening of Gary Dexter Park will take place Saturday, March 24 at noon.

LAS VEGAS, NV - Gary Dexter Park is reopening tomorrow and the public is invited to attend a celebration that will include hamburgers and hot dogs, music, and children's activities. The grand reopening begins at 12 p.m. on Saturday, March 24 at 800 Upland Blvd.
The park was remodeled using $2.1 million from the city of Las Vegas' general fund. The only remnants of the old park are the bathroom building, playground equipment, and baseball field. The remodeled park now includes a splash pad, two basketball courts, dog runs for both large and small dogs, water fountains for people and dogs, added landscaping, parking lot improvements, an open grass area, LED lighting, tree shade structures, exercise stations, picnic tables and barbecues, new irrigation systems, and an upgrade to the baseball field's fence.
Saturday's event is free to the public.
