LAS VEGAS, NV — The MGM Grand Garden Arena was filled with music royalty Sunday night as the 64th Annual Grammys took place.

After a few months of being postponed, musicians were finally able to walk the red carpet and celebrate the craft of song alongside their peers. While there wasn't any viral slapping a la the Oscars, those awarded top accolades definitely came as a pleasant surprise to many.

Olivia Rodrigo, making her Grammy debut, took home three trophies including best pop vocal album for "Sour," which was released in 2021. However, the most impressive sweep of the night was from Jon Batiste, who took home five Grammys. Earning the album of the year, the top prize of the night, Batiste beat out not only Rodrigo but also veterans such as Billie Eilish, Taylor Swift and even Tony Bennett and Lady Gaga's joint album.

The ceremony had some notable moments, including performances by the likes of Rodrigo, Eilish, Batiste, Carrie Underwood and Lenny Kravitz. At one point in the night, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy addressed the crowd via video conference to give an update on the war and urge the A-listers to "fill the silence with [their] music" in regard to fighting Russia.
